Houston Astros fans will soon be cheering for their team at a newly renamed ballpark. As of Jan. 1, Minute Maid Park has been rebranded as Daikin Park as part of a 15-year, exclusive naming rights agreement with Daikin Comfort Technologies, a subsidiary of Japan-based Daikin Industries Ltd., one of the world’s leading air conditioning manufacturers.
The first game at Daikin Park will take place on March 24 when the Astros host the Sugar Land Space Cowboys in an exhibition game. On March 27, the stadium will officially open its doors for the 2025 regular season home opening game against the New York Mets.
The ballpark originally opened in 2000 as Enron Field, before being renamed Astros Field in 2002 following the collapse of the Enron Corporation. The Astros then signed a 28-year naming rights deal with Minute Maid, and for over two decades, the ballpark has been known

as Minute Maid Park—otherwise known as “The Juice Box” by locals.
The transition to rebranding as Daikin Park marks another chapter for the stadium; the Daikin deal runs through the 2039 season, solidifying a long-term partnership between the Astros and the air-conditioning giant. While Minute Maid will remain an Astros partner through 2029, their brand will no longer be featured as the ballpark’s title sponsor.
