The Dateline and The Bayou Review came together on Nov. 11, for a celebration of campus publishing, storytelling and creativity at UHD’s 40,000 Windows Café. More than 100 students, faculty and staff joined the party, filling the room with energy, conversation and the sound of live music.
Guests enjoyed a handmade-bookmark activity table, where participants designed and decorated their own keepsakes while connecting with peers from both publications.
The afternoon featured a lively performance by Gator Groove, UHD’s student band, whose bilingual set had the crowd mesmerized.
Three raffle winners received baskets of books featuring poetry, nonfiction and literature.
